it's monday. i really tried for it not to be, but somehow it happened anyway. there's something about this time of year that just makes it impossible to get out of bed in the morning. after hitting snooze for the 100th time, i resigned myself to the fact that saturday was 5 days away and stumbled toward my closet to find a way to salvage the disaster that was staring at me in the mirror. seeing that it was 20 below outside, (read: 62 degrees) i made the logical decision to put on about 15 layers of clothes. i like to do this, so that by around 12pm when the temperature rises to 80 degrees, i can immediately start sweating like a camel. it's a fun ritual i have. you should try it.

sweat or no sweat (i'm not gonna lie, there was sweat) i was determined to own today's fall-inspired ensemble. so i braved the indian summer heat in my boots, and my scarf, and my coat, and my sweater. and dammit, i owned it.

howdy. sorry about being a day late with my saturday post. someone forgot to inform me that maintaining a blog is pretty labor intensive. not to worry. i'm up for the challenge. you'll be relieved to know that after dragging my weary bones into the house last night at around 1am, i delayed my pillow face-plant to take pictures of myself. yep, that's right. while your lazy arse was falling asleep or slumped over your 10th drink somewhere, i was suffering for the cause while waiting for my camera's 10 second self timer to capture the remnants of my saturday night. i know, i'm selfless. you're welcome.

while it is halloween weekend, i am sans costume this year. my sister threw a housewarming party on october 29th and failed to make any acknowledgment of the season. (jerk face. just kidding. not really.) so, without the green light to wear something excessively suggestive in the name of holiday celebration i instead opted to channel my inner mick jagger and embrace two of fall's fun new trends: the color red and bell bottoms. check it.

i'm quickly realizing that coming up with fresh poses everyday is going to be a challenge. it's only day two and i've already used up "blank stare" and " faked candid shot." what the hell am i supposed to do with myself now? i was pretty close to just staring at the lense and smiling when i was struck by a bolt of creative genius. the fail-proof action shot my friends! you know the one. you're transformed into a blurry blob in the middle of the frame as you do something adorbale like twirl or prance (or both if you're feeling extra bold). what? you don't know it? well then, allow me to demonstrate. warning: i'm pretty fricken cute.

i mean, i have a camera. i can stare into space with a lost glimmer in my eye while rocking prada. i can be cute and freaking quirky. what do those whispy bohemian blogging hussies have on me? nothing! dammit.

so, here it is. me. a bunch of pictures of me. in my house. in random outfits i wear to work everyday. i'm pretty sure this solidifies my dad's case that the internet is for idiots. but what do i care? you shleps are making me famous right now! well, internet famous, anyway. i'll take what i can get. enjoy!
